Questions About Chiropractic Care at Summit
How we listen, evaluate, and make thoughtful recommendations around your goals.
Talk With Our TeamWhat makes Summit Spine & Wellness different?
Our approach starts with listening.
Dr. Hiebert wants to understand what is bothering you, how it is affecting your life, what you have already tried, and what you want to get back to doing.
Recommendations are built around the individual patient rather than automatically placing everyone into the same plan.
You should understand what is being recommended and why.
Learn About Our ApproachDo I need to be in pain to visit a chiropractor?
No.
Some people visit Summit because something is bothering them.
Others are interested in movement, mobility, recovery, healthy habits, prevention, or maintaining an active lifestyle.
Your reason for coming in does not have to look like anyone else's.
We start by understanding what you want to accomplish and then discuss which options, if any, may make sense for you.
How do I know if chiropractic care is right for me?
You do not have to make that decision before scheduling.
Start by explaining what is going on and what you want help with.
Dr. Hiebert will listen, evaluate your situation, explain his recommendations in plain language, and help you understand your options.
If he believes another type of care or another healthcare professional would be a better next step, he will tell you that too.
That straightforward, pressure-free approach is central to how we care for patients at Summit.
Does everyone at Summit receive the same treatment plan?
No.
Every patient comes in with a different history, lifestyle, goals, and reason for seeking care.
Your recommendations are based on your individual situation rather than a predetermined plan that every patient receives.
The goal is not more treatment.
It is the right amount of care for the person in front of us.
Comfort, Recommendations & Treatment Plans
Direct answers about adjustments, recommendations, health history, and referrals.
Talk With Our TeamDo chiropractic adjustments hurt?
Most chiropractic adjustments are well tolerated, but every patient and situation is different.
If you are nervous about an adjustment or any other service, tell Dr. Hiebert before care begins.
He will explain what he is recommending and why, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions before moving forward.
We do not want patients to feel pressured into something they do not understand or are uncomfortable discussing.
Explore Chiropractic AdjustmentsHow many chiropractic visits will I need?
There is no automatic number of visits that every Summit patient receives.
Your recommendations depend on your individual situation, what Dr. Hiebert finds, your goals, and how things progress over time.
Dr. Hiebert's philosophy is to recommend the appropriate amount of care.
Not more and not less.
What if I have had surgery or have a complicated health history?
Tell Dr. Hiebert about previous surgeries, diagnoses, medications, and other relevant health history during your visit.
This information will be considered as part of your evaluation before recommendations are made.
Having a previous surgery or other health history does not mean we should assume chiropractic care is appropriate or inappropriate without understanding your specific circumstances.
If another type of care would be more appropriate, Dr. Hiebert's approach is to explain that and help point you in the right direction.
What if chiropractic care did not help me in the past?
A previous experience does not automatically tell us what makes sense for you today.
Tell Dr. Hiebert what you tried, what your experience was like, and what you hoped would improve.
That information becomes part of the conversation.
The goal is not to convince you that you need more chiropractic care. It is to understand your current situation and determine whether the services at Summit are appropriate for you.
What happens if Dr. Hiebert does not think chiropractic is the right option?
He will tell you.
Summit's approach is intentionally direct about this.
Chiropractic care is not the right answer for every condition.
Meet Dr. HiebertYour First Visit
What happens when you arrive and how to prepare for a conversation-first appointment.

What should I expect at my first chiropractic appointment?
Your visit starts with a conversation.
We want to understand what brought you in, how it has been affecting your life, and what you want to improve.
Dr. Hiebert will review your history, evaluate your concerns, and explain his findings and recommendations in straightforward language.
You should understand what is being recommended, why it may be appropriate, and what your options are.
What to Expect at Your First VisitDo I need to know which service I need before scheduling?
No.
You may already know that you are interested in chiropractic care, spinal decompression, dry needling, or another service.
You may also have no idea which option is appropriate.
That is fine.
Start by telling us what is going on.
You do not need to diagnose yourself or choose your own treatment before scheduling.
Explore Dry NeedlingCan I ask questions before agreeing to care?
Yes.
Questions are encouraged.
At Summit, we believe care should be explained clearly rather than hidden behind complicated terminology or instructions you are expected to follow without understanding.
If you do not understand something, ask.
You should feel comfortable being part of the conversation about your care.
